Caring for Animals (Mar - Apr)
In line with the government's youth work, the “Caring for Animals” will be held every month in 2025. The event is organized by the Association of Volunteers Social Service Macao and sponsored by the Municipal Affairs Bureau.
In recent years, the number of stray animals in shelters has been increasing. The highest percentage of stray animals are abandoned by their owners, followed by dogs and cats abandoned after the completion of construction sites.
Fortunately, there are still many animal protection organizations in Macao that protect these abandoned animals and actively promote the adoption of pets and the value of their lives. However, they are faced with the problem of insufficient resources and manpower, and need more strength to promote the work of animal protection. Therefore, it is necessary to organize volunteers to share the work.
The key to this event is to raise awareness and concern about abandoned animals. Owning a pet is a lifelong love! Give dogs and cats a warm home. We hope that everyone can be more caring and tolerant towards animals.
A total of 15 volunteers participated in the event on January 18th. The event was held at Cats' Paradise in Anima Macau to visit and help with the daily work.
