【2024 Activity Review】Awards Ceremony for the celebration of International Volunteer Day

In response to the United Nations’ designation of December 5 as International Volunteer Day, the Association of Volunteers Social Service Macao holds a celebration event in early December every year to pay tribute to volunteers around the world.
The celebration day event has been held for the 32nd time. This year, the Outstanding Volunteer Election received nominations from 33 different institutions/schools/enterprises, with a total of 118 candidates aged between 13 and 80. The candidates were eva luated and selected by about 35 judging representatives from different schools, institutions and companies.
The "2024 International Volunteer Day Celebration and Outstanding Volunteer Election" award ceremony, organized by the Association of Volunteers Social Service Macao and sponsored by the Education and Youth Development Bureau, was successfully concluded on the first floor of PouTai Social Service Building on December 1. Also invited on the day were 陳鍵, a fourth-level investigator of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, 黃柏基, supervisor of the Social Welfare Bureau, 趙寶偉, director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau, 高天賜, chairman of the Macao Public Officials Association, 尹正京, executive director of the Global Volunteer Cooperation Organization of Korea, Nuntinee Malanon, deputy director of the Sustainable Development Goals Research and Support Center of Thammasat University of Thailand, 王躍軍, founder of Volunteer Club, 陳安發, professional director of the National Social Work Supervision Talent Training Program, 陳惠敏, acting director of the Training and Activities Organizing Department of the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau, and 黎惠芳, vice president of our association, as guests to cut the ribbon, and the atmosphere was lively.
