【2024 Activity Review】New Era Volunteer Service Development Course

The “New Era Volunteer Service Development Course” sponsored by the Education and Youth Development Bureau and organized by the Association of Volunteers Social Service Macao ended on October 27 and November 3 this year. A total of 20 volunteer teams from friendly organizations, schools and companies in Macao signed up.
At the same time, Supervisor Leo Hung served as the instructor of this course and participated in the IAVE World Volunteer Conference this year.
The purpose of this course is to further study the "Opinions on Improving the Volunteer Service System in the New Era", which is the first central document to systematically deploy and improve the volunteer service system in the new era, and is of great significance to the improvement and promotion of the long-term development of the volunteer service industry. It clearly proposed the six major systems of voluntary service in the new era, and also proposed to build a new pattern of international cooperation and exchange in voluntary service. Encourage young people to participate in the understanding and practice of "taking volunteer service as an important part of measuring the level of regional social civilization and social governance." In conjunction with this year's IAVE World Volunteer Conference, this course can share the latest domestic and international volunteer development information. Strengthen the international perspective of young people and promote volunteer service to integrate innovation and high-quality youth social participation.
