Organized by the Youth volunteer group of Macao Volunteer Association, the "international volunteer exchange series - Thailand volunteer line" was held from 10 to 14 this month. Thirteen local volunteers participated in volunteer work in DOI PHA SOM mountain area of 

Chiang Mai Prefecture in Thailand, experiencing overseas volunteer culture and obtaining valuable service experience.

The youth volunteer group of the volunteer association and Thai volunteers assisted in mixing cement. 

Sponsored by the Macau higher education assistance office and co organized by Thailand volunteer spiritual network and Macau Bodhi youth and family integrated service center, 13 young volunteers were recruited to participate in the exchange. Under the leadership of the "Volunteer Association", they went to doI PHA SOM mountain area of Chiang Mai Prefecture in Thailand for five days and four nights.

Volunteers visiting DOI Phasom mountain self-sufficiency center learns the ecological conservation practices of local residents, helps the local mountain areas consolidate the diversion path between dams, communicates with the local environmental protection demonstration village leaders to deepen the understanding of the necessity of environmental protection, visits the social enterprise center to learn the entrepreneurial spirit of local residents to make good use of resources, and plant trees with local residents, so as to contribute to the sustainable development of mountain areas and visit Chiang Mai Pun pun organic farm, a non-profit organization, understands the use of self-sufficiency, visits temples with cultural characteristics in Thailand, and understands local history and culture.
